1. Agreement
These terms form a binding agreement between you and Toolzep (“we”) covering your use of https://toolzep.com and its tools and content. By using the site you accept them. If you disagree with any part, please do not use the site.
2. The service
Toolzep provides free, browser-based utilities and educational content. Tools are provided as-is and available without an account. Because tools run on your device, availability depends on your browser supporting modern JavaScript; we publish browser requirements on pages where they matter.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to: attempt to disrupt, overload or probe the site or its hosting; scrape at volumes that degrade service for others; republish our articles wholesale without permission; use the tools to process data you have no right to process; or use the site where prohibited by applicable law, including US sanctions regimes. Automated access is welcome for public pages at reasonable rates (search-engine crawling included) but not for content harvesting.
4. Health, financial and legal calculators — important
Calculators on this site implement published formulas (for example WHO BMI categories, Mifflin-St Jeor energy estimates, standard amortisation math). Their outputs are estimates for information only and are not medical, financial, tax or legal advice. Health results depend on inputs and individual factors a formula cannot see; financial results depend on terms your lender, employer or tax authority sets. 5. Intellectual property
The site design, code, articles and original content are owned by us and protected by copyright. You may quote reasonable excerpts with attribution and a link. Tools’ outputs belong to you — text you transform and files you process remain yours throughout because they never leave your device.
6. Third-party content
The site links to third-party sites and displays third-party advertising. We do not control those parties and are not responsible for their content or practices. Live-data tools call public third-party APIs directly from your browser; their availability is outside our control.
7. No warranty
The site and its tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability or error-free operation — although we fix reported bugs quickly. Formulas and algorithms are documented so you can independently verify any result.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Toolzep and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill arising from your use of the site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of one hundred US dollars (US $100) or the amount you paid us (which, for a free site, is normally zero). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct where applicable.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your violation of these terms or your misuse of the site.
10. Changes
We may update these terms; the current version is always at this URL with its effective date. Continuing to use the site after a change constitutes acceptance.
